WSOBP V - Practice Session - Sunday, 12/20

The upcoming World Series is quite a bit different than a normal tournament. It consists of 2 days of pool play, finished off by a tournament on day 3 to determine a winner. To help prepare everyone for that format (and to have the usual good ole time), we are going to be at the Blue Cafe in Huntington this Sunday. You do not have to be playing in the World Series to play.

Bpong also rolled out a new white cup that will be used exclusively at the World Series. This will be a good opportunity to practice with these new cups.

When:	Sunday, December 20, 2009 Registration: 4:00 pm Play Begins: 5:00 pm

Format:	Pool Play Round 1 Teams divided into pools of 5-8 teams Teams will play 4 pool play games Teams seeded based on round 1 results based on record and cup differential Pool Play Round 2 Top half of teams placed into Championship Group, bottom half into Consolation Group Teams divided into pools of 5-8 teams Teams play another 3-4 pool play games Single Elimination Tournaments Each group will play a single elimination tournament to determine prize winners Teams will be seeded based on round 2 pool play
Prizes:	Championship Group 1st Place - $200* 2nd Place - $80* 3rd Place - $20	Consolation Group 1st Place - $20

• Like the World Series, Cup Differential will be used as a tie breaker. Every cup counts!
• WSOBP Rules governs play
• Games are played on WSOBP regulation tables, using WSOBP regulation cups (both from bpong.com)
• Tournament games are played with water cups
• *Prizes listed reflect an expected pot for around 20 teams. 1st & 2nd Place prize money depends on # of teams.
