League Interest???
Just wondering if there's enough interest out there yet to get a weekly league going. This is one of our goals at SCBP and we have a couple of bars that would be interested in hosting something on a weekly basis, IF we had enough teams.
Here's the format I've been tossing around in my head, but let me know what you think:
*South Bay/Westside area, every Wednesday/Thursday night
*10-20 teams that can make it at least 75% of the time
*regular season would last 3-4 months
*weekly entry fee of $10 team
*each team would play 1-3 best of seven series against other teams
*league stats would based of winning percentage and cup differential
*regular season winner (best win percentage if played in 75% of weeks) would win a trip to the World Series of Beer Pong
*Finish up the season a seeded double-elimination tournament with that winner also going to the World Series.
Let me know what you guys think.

I am from the south bay and I know if u start a league here it would be packed every weekend, i single handly know of about 15 teams that would play.

Preliminary League Details
We have yet to finalize the times - but we are getting ready for SCBP's Summer Beer Pong League. League play will be on Sunday evenings from 6-9 at Bad Dog Ale House in El Segundo, and will last for 8 total weeks. League entry will be a one time fee of $25 per person (less than $4 per week). The League will consist of 7 weeks of round robin play, where each team plays all of the other teams that are present. The final week will be a double elimination championship tournament, where teams are seeded based on their league play records. Monetary prizes will be given for various accomplishments (most wins, best win percentage, most improved player, MVP). These prizes will largely depend on the number of teams that sign up.
We realize that some people who would want to participate would have to drive from various cities, which is why we set up the league for Sunday evenings.

Weekly Beer Pong League
I am from Palmdale, and would be willing to make the appropriate travel/room accomodations to have a beer pong league. I guess this just goes to show what the next big thing is.
