Satellite Reracks Rules?
Submitted by Gd Up on Wed, 10/10/2007 - 01:39.
G'd Up just finished their usual 13 hour daily practice in preparation for Sunday, and was curious if we will be playing by SCBP or WSOBP rerack rules.
See ya then,
G'd Up

Rules Remix...
We'll be playing with WSOBP re-rack rules (6, 4, 3, 2, and 1), WSOBP rollback rules (1 instead of 2), and WSOBP Defense Rules (let-it-ride instead of swatting after contact). Check out the differences on the rules page for more clarification.
Whoo hooo!
Yes the diamond is in play!
I'm excited, I am a huge fan
I'm excited, I am a huge fan of the "Neil Diamond" 4 cup rack.

I told ya
See boys ... every one loves a diamond! I've been trying to get you guys to play like this all year! After WSOBP this year i propose we always play with the diamond, just like i did last year, but damnit i'm gonna make it stick this time!!!
What About Bob?
There are two types of people in the world: those who like Neil Diamond and those who don't.
I not as opposed to the diamond as I am to the 2 rack, but overall I like keeping the game at the roots of the triangle. The end of the game should be harder than the beginning, and at the end of the game you're re-racking after almost every shot. I feel like it's just constantly bringing cups together, getting rid of open spaces, and just asking for lucky shots to go in.
Firing Squad
The diamond rules out the possibility of the firing squad, a personal favorite of mine.

Where some teams struggle hitting the solo front cup or any on the back line, I embrace the opportunity to knock out the "dead man."
Rules Ficky Ficky Remix....
Update on the Satellite Rules, per discussion with World Series organizers (sorry to switch it up on everyone)...
We're going with 6-3-1 reracks (not 6-4-3-2-1, our condolences Katie).
We're also not going with the let-it-ride rule. Balls can be swatted after it hits a cup.
There is still only one ball back for a doubleback.
Redemption:
If you have one cup, both teammates get to shoot.
If you have two or more cups, you have to consecutively hit all of the remaining cups, alternating shots between teammates.
