Tiebreakers

In the spirit of competition, where there are winners and losers, G'd Up would like to play Balding Assassins in a one game playoff for sole possession of 3rd place.

Sunday?

G'd Up.

Good Idea

I hope it goes down, Whos the favorite or is the line even? lets place some bets...

Hmmm....

Regarding strength of schedule (which would maybe determine a favorite), we don't have an official calculation, but G'd Up did play most of the top tier teams twice, while the Assassins did not. The Assassin's apparent avoidance of good teams might have been due to scheduling difficulties the last few weeks, but it also might have been done intentionally. We may never know =).

In the Assassins defense, they were looking for a week 7 match up with the Bandits. In the Bandits defense, (if I can back myself up), they only had one free series, and chose to play Kobe.

Either way, I hope that we have some sort of side story going on Sunday night.

Good idea, BUT...

So I know we didn't say how we would handle tiebreakers at the beginning (our bad), so I'm inclined to defer to our other major league sports. The NFL, MLB, and NBA (who cares about hockey) all use head-to-head records as the #1 tiebreaker. This being the case, Wet Bandits will get the #1 seed in the tourney and G'd Up will get the #3.

As far as money goes, the payouts will be split down the middle. (Wet Bandits and Kobe get $125 each and Balding Assassins and G'd Up both get $70). Whatever you guys do with that money is up to you (double or nothing???).
