2009 Spring League - Week 4

The overall team standings got a little more interesting in week 4, as War Kittens took 2/3 games from the Wet Bandits, and The Cocksmen and Pure Filth each only lost one game. The race is tight at the top, with 5 teams almost dead even. There is another group of 10 teams that in the second tier, all positioning themselves for a strong second half of the season. Team Beirut, Shang High, Cock Push-Ups Anyone?, and newcomers Fish Sticks each played numerous series in an attempt to catch up to those top teams. A few teams shot extremely impressive games in week 4, missing 3 or fewer shots (>75%):
- Pure Filth vs. Shang High
- War Kittens vs. The Cocksmen
- Cock Push-Ups Anyone? vs. Peter's Ass <=8
- The Cocksmen vs. TWLB
Peter's Ass <=8 trumped everyone else in this category, tallying 3 such games. After a 3 OT thriller in game 2 against Shang High, they stepped it up in game 3 shooting 10/13. In their next game, they had a completely miserable start to their series against Superman Dat Throw, shooting an abismal 10/20 (50%). Their next two games were somewhat better, as they missed 3 shots in game 2, then only 2 shots in game 3, not even giving Soulja Boy Tell Em's favorite team a chance.

On the first shot fired on the evening, Kendal hit the ever so rare trifecta against the Wet Bandits. Only seen in the wild on rare occassions, the trifecta might come out once a year, but then will hibernate for the rest of the season. While such a rare feat counts for 3 cups at house parties, it is not SCBP's policy to reward such a lucky roll, but is entertaining when it happens. The I-shot-a-sixty-percent-game club expanded in week 4, with Tarek (4x) of Team Beirut, Will and Colin (2x) of Fish Sticks, Richard of In The Butt, Danny- who subbed in for Tribute, and Connie of TWLB.

Gary stepped it up and knocked Peter off of the #1 for the week. His overall percentage does not even reflect the consistency, as he had only 1 game with more than 4 misses. If not for that one game, he would have pulled off shooting 60% for each series on the week. RJ had an almost equally impressive week. His percentage was into the 60s as well, with consecutive 60% series against the Wet Bandits and Yippie Skippy. Mike (Cock Push-Ups) started strong against Peter's Ass <=8, shooting 7/8 and 6/6 (his second perfect game on the season if you count the 0/14 stink bomb thrown in week 1). Other players with really good weeks, raising their overall percentages by at least 3 points: Tarek (Team Beirut), Stephen (Tribute), Alex (Yippie Skippy), and Katie(In The Butt).
