2008 Spring League - Week 8
Updated 4/23 with correct individual stats
The last week of the regular season settled a bunch of questions. First of all, congrats is in order for The Super Vlads, who all but ran away with first place by averaging 3 points for each of the 4 series they played, including what could have been a decisive match against Pure Filth. Filth had a so-so day, and though they lost their opportunity to end up on top, they won enough games to claim sole possession of 2nd place. The Wet Bandits and Team Beirut each only had 2 series to play to decide third place, with the Bandits coming out ahead, perhaps partially due to the 'holiday'. Twins! claimed 5th place with a series win over 6th place We Shit On Donkeys, who just edged out G'd Up for the last money spot.

The final team standings determine the seeding for the tournament championship bracket, with teams that have participated in at least 3 weeks of league eligible for the triple elimination tournament (the requirement being dropped from 4 due to the week 4 cancelation).
Individually, Jesse had a great week, shooting over 10% better than usual, including two games of shooting 60% or better. Others with 60% games were Dan, Scott, Dustin, Bryan (7), Adam (4), Jesse (2), Kyle, Kerrie, Peter (4), Whitehorse Tyler (2), Jake, Mad Crazy Tyler (4), and Meg (2). Among statistical oddities, Dan had his second straight week of shooting exactly 50%. One of the prizes up for grabs was for the individual with the top shooting percentage. In week 7, Bryan stepped up his game to come within 0.2% of the top spot. In an attempt to hold onto that spot, Peter shot over 63% in week 8, but only had 2 series to do so. Bryan shot a similar percentage over 4 series, raising his overall percentage more than one point, edging out Peter by 0.2%. That difference only comes down to 2 shots - had Bryan missed one shot, and Peter made one shot - the standings would be flopped. (This also turns the tables on the exact same outcome from the Summer League standings, when Peter edged Bryan by the same 0.2% margin). Here are the week 8 results.
