LA Summer League - Week 2
Updated 07/17/2007
Four new teams joined the action for week 2, maxing out the total number of teams for SCBP's Los Angeles Beer Pong League at 20. The new teams shook up the action for the eleven teams that returned from week 1.
Undefeated in week 1, Team Kobe kept rolling in week 2, more than asserting themselves as the team to beat. Meanwhile, the new teams brought some more competition to the table. The Wet Bandits finished 10-2 through four series and Whiskey Rebellion finished 5-4 through three. The Angry Dragons took the path the Beer Pong Gods took in week 1, playing tough teams, and finished a deceiving 2-7. On that note, the Beer Pong Gods bounced back as expected from their week 1 donut, and played to a 7-2 record in week 2. The Balding Assassins crept up in the standings with an 8-1 record, but missed a golden opportunity when the Wet Bandits stole the cup differential point in a series in which the Assassins won the first two games. Among those with tough luck, Tuttie Frutti Summer Love lost a triple overtime thriller to Los Jornaleros.

Newbies from the Wet Bandits (Peter and Kerrie), Angry Dragons (Evan), and Whiskey Rebellion (Kevin) shook up the competition in week 2 individual shooting, all cracking the top 10. There was no doubt that Team Kobe's Bryan would maintain the top spot after he went an amazing 75% in his first series, ending up 63% overall. It's unfortunate that he doesn't have a better teammate, with Felipe holding the team back with his measly 48% average. Perhaps their success has rubbed off on the Kobe Wives, who both cracked the top 10 in week 2.
